Landis+Gyr is a multinational corporation specialising in meters and energy management software and services. After years of acquisitive growth to broaden capabilities and geographic expansion, Landis+Gyr’s brand had become diluted through inconsistent execution. Landis+Gyr’s operates globally, but is managed regionally, a subsequent lack of consistency, cut-through and clarity was harming the impact of their brand in the global marketplace.
Our challenge was to strengthen and unify this complex organisation, through clarifying their corporate narrative and aligning their visual identity to a refreshed positioning, creating a unity between their aesthetic and messaging, in their true voice as a global technology company.
To do this, we spent a significant amount of time understanding the various perspectives across this complex organisation, conducted thorough brand and competitor audits and developed fully visualised concept routes to evaluate potential positioning directions.
Once the positioning narrative was fully defined and identity design refined. We created an exhaustive set of key deliverables, applications and touchpoints along with a rigorous brand guidelines to enhance usability, applicability and instil greater consistency and unity across their global business.
