Scoff and Banter
Hospitality Design
The Edwardian Group who own Radisson Blu Edwardian hotels, a range of landmark English hotels in the UK came to us to help them redefine what their hotel restaurant brand Scoff and Banter was and how it would begin to deliver a differentiated dining experience above the standard ‘hotel restaurant’ experiences.
We defined a space around them about ‘conversations over English food that bring happiness’ - a space centered around the idea of what the great English coffee houses once delivered. This became the driving idea for the creation of an experience that re-discovered and re-defined what the new English traditions of great food and great conversation are and placed them in the individual settings of each hotel.
The first hotel restaurant to be refurbished with the new concept was the Vanderbilt Hotel. What we discovered during refurbishment was the original listed interior hidden behind a modern make-over from the early 1990’s.
This discovery gave us the perfect backdrop to re-launch Scoff and Banter and completely transform the environment into a stunning place to meet, eat and have a great conversation.
